Directions and Planning

  • WHAT AIRPORT?
The Retreat normally happens in the outskirts of Sao Paulo, or the nearby cities, but plan yourself to come and go from Sao Paulo (Guarulhos International Airport), because we normally organize a bus to go to the retreat with the whole group.

  • WHEN DO I ARRIVE?
If you are coming from abroad, try to get to Sao Paulo at least one day before the retreat starts. The majority of people will be coming from Sao Paulo, so this way it's easier to organize the transport.

  • HOW MUCH IS A FLIGHT?
If you haven't bought your flight yet, check this website. The prices here are normally good: Skyscanner

  • TRANSPORT?
The retreat will happen in São Roque (a city close to São Paulo) and to get there, one option is to register at the transport we are organizing, leaving from and returning to the city of Sao Paulo.

  • ARRIVE AND THEN?
Uber from the Airport of Guarulhos to the center of the city should cost around USD 20,00. Taxis from the Airport of Guarulhos cost around USD 40,00. Try to get a pre-paid taxi.

  • “Airport Bus Service” is a bus that can take you from the Airport to many places, including Paulista Avenue, the main avenue in Sao Paulo. It costs around USD 15,00.

  • WHEN DO I GO HOME?
The Retreat ends on January 16, but we consider that the cycle extends until Sunday, January 19 in São Paulo, so if you can, schedule yourself to stay until at least that day.
    - On the way back from the retreat, people usually do cultural programs together in São Paulo.
    - Taking advantage of the flow of artists in São Paulo we must organize workshops on the 17th and 18th.
    - On the 19th, we closed the cycle with Fritura Livre, an open meeting of circular music promoted by Música do Círculo, which since 2013 has occupied public spaces in São Paulo.
